La Gueuze, a very German-like bar located on rue Soufflot, the street leading to the
Panthéon, is where we went on Saturday for lunch, after exploring the St-Germain des Près area. I had a steak frites (it was about time) and
Monsieur had a bavette à l'échalotte with a Abbaye De Leffe beer.
Wow, I'm not sure about the bavette but those steak and fries sure look good. I am reminded of a place my mom told me was famous in Paris for some kind of beef specialty back in the 70's when she lived there. She said there'd be a line along the block and they only served one thing. I'll ask her about it when she gets back home an let you know.
ReplyDeleteJust asked mom and she said it's called "le relais de l'entrecote"
